|This is a piece I did for a friend. It was illustrated using both traditional (pencil) and Digitally (Inks and Colors). The size was 11x17.|
Todays Fresh Friday's pic is a small 8x10 oil on canvas I just finished. I was really good at painting space galaxies digitally on the computer as well as with an airbrush. This time I wanted to experiment using the Bob Ross wet on wet technique, to try paint a space nebula. The results were fairly good. The camera pic does not do it alot of justice since it is still wet & alot of the "shine" showed up. Once it is dry I will do a few small touch ups & use it as a background of a pin-up picture of one of my Comic Book characters that I am also working on.
Attempted a Bob Ross style winter scene today. Oil on 12x16 canvas (3rd attemp as attemps 1&2...well shall we say never saw the light of day...). Still learning his technique. All of his painting I've seen (& most winter paintings) you hardly ever see snow falling. So I tried to incorporate that into my painting. The results were....eh..50/50...I think it could use more contrast in light & dark & a little more detail in the shrubery but once I splattered the snow on, I committed to it. There is always next time.
..Since it is really wet, I will sign it once it dries.
